The design of the conventional implant that causes the following drawbacks
It has multiple parts making the whole method more complicated
It has a screw which can break, and now you've got a broken screw stuck way down in the implant
There is a seam between the implant and the abutment which holds bacteria and makes it more prone to gum disease
The two parts flex during function which allows more ingress of bacteria into the seam, and creates structural problems
