What the EATR is
The EATR appliance is a removable full arch of teeth, upper or lower, that snaps onto one-piece implants, usually eight. It stays firmly in place through the day, then comes out once a day so you can clean it at home.
What makes it different is inside. Regular dentures and most snap-on implant dentures are solid plastic, so they have to be thick to keep from breaking.
The EATR has a thin metal framework built in, which lets it be thinner and lighter while being much stronger.
It also protects your jawbone. When teeth are lost, the bone underneath slowly dissolves away, which is why dentures get looser and faces start to look sunken over time. Implants act like tooth roots and help keep that bone in place. A regular denture can't do that.

EATR or All-on-10?
Both are built on one-piece implants, and both are big upgrades over dentures. All-on-10 is a fixed zirconia bridge that never comes out.
The EATR comes out once a day for cleaning and is easy to repair. Some people simply prefer being able to take their teeth out. We'll help you choose at your free evaluation.
How it works

How is the EATR different from regular snap-in dentures?
Most snap-in dentures sit on 2–4 implants and are solid plastic. The EATR usually uses eight implants and has a metal framework inside, so it's thinner, steadier, and much stronger.
How do I clean it?
Take it out once a day, brush the appliance, and clean around your implants. A water flosser makes it easy. Then see us for yearly checkups.
How strong is it?
Much stronger than a regular denture. The metal framework inside keeps it from flexing and cracking the way all-plastic dentures do. And in the rare case a tooth chips, it's easy to repair.
What if I don't have much bone left?
One-piece implants are narrow, so they often fit where conventional implants can't. Your 3D scan shows exactly what's there.
Is it surgery?
Yes, placing any implant is a surgical procedure. Ours is far less invasive than conventional implants: small pilot holes, no cutting open the gums, and usually no bone removal.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe mild soreness for a few days.
